Carpet Cleaners N10 Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions set out the basis on which Carpet Cleaners N10 provides carpet, upholstery and related cleaning services to residential and commercial customers. By making a booking, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, which form a contract between you and Carpet Cleaners N10.

1. Definitions

In these Terms and Conditions, the following expressions have the meanings set out below:

Customer means the individual, business or organisation requesting the services.

Company means Carpet Cleaners N10, the provider of the services.

Services means carpet cleaning, rug cleaning, upholstery cleaning, stain removal, end of tenancy cleaning, and any other cleaning or related services provided by the Company as agreed at the time of booking.

Premises means the property or location where the Services are to be carried out.

Booking means a confirmed appointment for the provision of Services by the Company.

2. Scope of Services

The Company provides professional cleaning services to customers within its service area. The specific Services to be carried out, including the number of rooms, items or areas, will be agreed at the time of booking based on the information supplied by the Customer.

The Company reserves the right to decline to provide any Services which, in its reasonable opinion, are unsafe, unsuitable, or outside its usual scope of work. In such cases, the Customer will only be charged for Services actually provided.

3. Booking Process

3.1 Bookings may be made by the Customer by telephone, online form or other communication methods offered by the Company from time to time. The Customer must provide accurate and complete information regarding the Premises, access arrangements, parking availability and the Services required.

3.2 A Booking is considered confirmed when the Company has agreed a date, estimated time window and price with the Customer, and any required deposit has been paid. The Company may send a booking confirmation, but a lack of written confirmation does not invalidate a verbal agreement where the Customer has clearly accepted the terms.

3.3 The Customer must ensure that an adult with authority to grant access to the Premises is present at the agreed time. If the operative cannot gain access or is kept waiting beyond a reasonable period, this may be treated as a late cancellation and subject to a fee in accordance with the cancellation terms below.

3.4 The Company aims to arrive within the agreed time window but cannot guarantee exact start times due to traffic, prior job duration and other factors. Where there is a significant delay, the Company will notify the Customer as soon as reasonably practicable.

4. Estimates and Pricing

4.1 Any prices supplied prior to inspection of the Premises are estimates based on the information given by the Customer. The Company reserves the right to amend the price if the actual condition, size or nature of the items to be cleaned differs from that described by the Customer.

4.2 The operative will inform the Customer of any change in price before commencing the work. If the revised price is not acceptable, the Customer may decline the Services. In such circumstances, a call-out fee may be charged to cover the time and travel costs incurred.

4.3 Prices are quoted inclusive of all labour, cleaning products and equipment required to complete the Services, unless otherwise agreed. Additional charges may apply for parking fees, congestion charges or access permits where applicable.

5. Payments

5.1 Payment is due on completion of the Services, unless otherwise agreed in writing in advance. The Company accepts payment by cash, card or bank transfer, subject to the payment methods available at the time of service.

5.2 For certain bookings, including larger commercial projects, end of tenancy cleaning or repeated visits, the Company may require a deposit or advance payment. Any such requirement will be notified to the Customer during the booking process.

5.3 Where the Customer is not present at the Premises on completion of the Services, payment must be made in advance or immediately upon receipt of an invoice. The Customer remains responsible for payment even if a third party, such as a tenant or managing agent, has agreed to arrange access.

5.4 Invoices are payable within the payment terms stated on the invoice. If no specific terms are stated, payment is due within seven days of the invoice date.

5.5 The Company reserves the right to charge interest and reasonable recovery costs on overdue amounts in accordance with applicable law.

6. Cancellations and Rescheduling

6.1 The Customer may cancel or reschedule a Booking by giving at least 24 hours notice prior to the agreed start time. Where the required notice is given, any deposit paid will be applied to the rescheduled appointment or refunded at the discretion of the Company.

6.2 If the Customer cancels or reschedules a Booking with less than 24 hours notice, or if the operative is unable to gain access to the Premises at the agreed time, the Company may charge a cancellation fee of up to 50 percent of the quoted price to cover lost time and costs.

6.3 In the event of repeated cancellations or non-attendance by the Customer, the Company reserves the right to require full payment in advance for any future Bookings or to decline to provide further Services.

6.4 The Company may cancel or reschedule a Booking due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including staff illness, vehicle breakdown, extreme weather or other operational issues. In such cases, the Company will offer the Customer an alternative appointment at the earliest available date and will not be liable for any consequential losses.

7. Customer Responsibilities

7.1 The Customer is responsible for providing safe and clear access to the Premises, including any parking permits or entry codes required. Where suitable parking is not available, the Customer will be responsible for any related charges.

7.2 The Customer must remove fragile items, valuables and small objects from the areas to be cleaned prior to the arrival of the operative. The Company will not be responsible for damage to items left in the work area that reasonably should have been removed.

7.3 The Customer must inform the Company of any known hazards, such as loose floorboards, damaged fittings, electrical issues or health and safety risks, prior to the commencement of the Services.

7.4 The Customer must inform the Company of any prior treatments, protective coatings or warranties on carpets and upholstery, as well as any previous damage or staining. Failure to do so may affect the outcome of the cleaning and any potential claim.

8. Service Standards and Limitations

8.1 The Company will carry out the Services using reasonable skill and care, employing suitable cleaning methods and products for the items and materials concerned.

8.2 While the Company will make every reasonable effort to remove stains and marks, it cannot guarantee complete stain removal or the restoration of items to their original condition. The results depend on the nature of the stain, age, material and previous treatment.

8.3 The Company will not be liable for any pre-existing damage, wear, discolouration or defects that become more visible following cleaning. Certain issues, such as shading, pile distortion, colour fading or shrinking, may be revealed by the cleaning process but are not caused by it.

8.4 Drying times may vary depending on ventilation, temperature, humidity and material type. The Customer is responsible for ensuring adequate ventilation and for keeping children, pets and third parties away from wet surfaces until they are safe to use.

9. Liability and Insurance

9.1 The Company holds appropriate public liability insurance for the Services it provides. Details of cover can be supplied upon request.

9.2 The Company will be liable for direct damage to the Premises or items caused by the proven negligence of its employees, limited to the reasonable cost of repair or replacement, subject to fair wear and tear and depreciation.

9.3 The Company will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit, loss of income, loss of use, loss of opportunity or any other economic loss arising from the provision of the Services or any delay in providing them.

9.4 The total liability of the Company in respect of any claim arising out of or in connection with the Services, whether in contract, tort or otherwise, shall not exceed the total price paid or payable for the Services that are the subject of the claim.

9.5 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall exclude or limit the Companys liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence, fraud, or any other liability which cannot be excluded or limited by law.

10. Complaints and Claims

10.1 If the Customer is dissatisfied with any aspect of the Services, they must notify the Company as soon as reasonably possible and in any event within 48 hours of completion of the work. The Company will investigate the complaint and may arrange a return visit to inspect the work.

10.2 The Customer must allow the Company a reasonable opportunity to remedy any issues or repeat the Services where appropriate. Refusal of a return visit may limit or extinguish any claim.

10.3 Any claim for damage must be supported by evidence, such as photographs and receipts. The Company may require access to inspect the alleged damage before any settlement is agreed.

11. Waste Handling and Environmental Regulations

11.1 The Company will handle waste and used cleaning materials in accordance with applicable waste and environmental regulations. This includes the responsible disposal of any waste generated in the course of the Services.

11.2 The Customer must inform the Company if there are any specific waste disposal requirements or restrictions at the Premises, such as limitations imposed by building management or local authorities.

11.3 Where the Services involve the removal of significant quantities of waste or bulky items, additional charges may apply. Such charges will be discussed with the Customer in advance where possible.

11.4 The Company seeks to use cleaning products that are effective and appropriate for the task, and where feasible, those with a reduced environmental impact. However, the primary responsibility of the Company is to provide effective cleaning results, and certain tasks may require stronger products.

12. Access, Health and Safety

12.1 The Company complies with relevant health and safety legislation and requires that its operatives are provided with a safe working environment at the Premises.

12.2 The Customer must ensure that the Premises are free from hazards and that utilities such as water and electricity are available as required to perform the Services.

12.3 The Company reserves the right to withdraw its operatives from the Premises if they encounter conditions which, in their reasonable opinion, pose a risk to health, safety or security. In such cases, the Booking may be treated as a late cancellation and a fee may be charged.

13. Data Protection and Privacy

13.1 The Company will collect and use the Customers personal data only for the purposes of managing Bookings, providing Services, processing payments and handling any queries or complaints.

13.2 The Company will take reasonable steps to protect personal data and will not sell or share Customer information with third parties except where necessary to deliver the Services, process payments or comply with legal obligations.

14. Amendments to Terms

14.1 The Company may amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The current version will apply to all new Bookings at the time they are made.

14.2 Any changes to the Services, prices or specific terms agreed with the Customer will be confirmed at the time of booking or in subsequent communication.

15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

15.1 These Terms and Conditions and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

15.2 The parties agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions or their subject matter.

16. Severability

16.1 If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable by a court or other competent authority, that provision shall be deemed severed from the remaining provisions, which shall continue to be valid and enforceable.

17. Entire Agreement

17.1 These Terms and Conditions, together with any specific terms agreed in writing at the time of booking, constitute the entire agreement between the Customer and the Company in relation to the Services and supersede any prior understandings or arrangements, whether written or oral.

By making a Booking with Carpet Cleaners N10, the Customer acknowledges that they have read, understood and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
